In November 2006, we travelled to France, landing in Paris on Armistice Day, just in time for the parade along the Champs-Élysées. After a few days in Paris, it was off to Versailles, Chartres and Normandy and the WW II historical sites. Very moving to see the beaches and cemeteries. Bayeux was particularly beautiful and a great location to explore the countryside. We then travelled east to Etratat and Dieppe, again a site of particular significance to Canadians.
